middle america is very alive
amphibious croaks creaks and chirps
the darkness full

thousands of lightning bugs sparkle
all around me diamonds in the trees
flashing their hereness
enchanting the river country
the exact size of the blazing stars

i can no longer tell what is a firefly
and what is a meteor
