(June 2022. I arrived in LA after a grueling stretch of hitchhiking through the June desert. Parked at Murder House and walked over to Billy’s porch, where I relaxed on the couch and recovered all day.)

i am a puppy
and i want nothing more
than to be close to you
to touch and be touched
and beloved
by you
and be near you
and explore with you
and come back to you
to share kisses
to touch again our outsides to
the inside of this body to yours
