While staying with Laser and Brian in Venice Beach, Laser surprised me by building a barebones proof of concept beta version of the daopoetry app that I’d been sketching out for a long time. It’s one of the most amazing gifts I’ve ever been given. On that first day he showed me the app we started playing around with it. This is one of the first official app daopoems written; a majority of the lines are mine, and many of the other lines were things I said out loud transcribed by Laser.)
This person is playing with your poem
The lines of tending placed there by math personified
The need to go to that depth
It can substantiate it can pull away
from the pure impartial spectator
Collapsing it’s cone in a certain direction
Of probability circumstance
a stanza like a noun a bucket
unit of units rice is all nice
my gratitude for you, excess carbonation
fizzing over the edge of text containers
and if i were a bucket i’d be a thimble
overflowing below Niagara Falls
