(June 2023. I went to Vibecamp and ran a Decentralized Poetry workshop. Was a big hit despite rain! We all made poems in pairs, triads, sextets, and then one giant poem at the end. This is the giant one, everyone contributed a line.)
big vibecamp poem
we think in chainlinks of lightning like the
twittering of birds in mirth after rain
bottling thunder into elixirs unseen racing
against time
my context window only goes so far back
only as far back as the ATF can track me
fully omniscient, but omnipotent as the
back-office bureaucrat, my limbic
extensions unlimited
i know what i want but it slips through my
fingers
Why is water so damn wet
electrocution is a worthy goal
i guess
you do you
the birds call from the lightning storm in
limited character count
can you hear their songs beneath the
thunder?
AaaaAAAAaaAaa as the birds sing
gracefully
the clashing of swords over a meadow
keeping it dramatic
the swords are too blunt
the blades of grass too sharp
playing a haunting melody like a harp
or
the polite silence shattered by sound
the cracks surround
the craftiness abounds
the downflow crowns
the humble king
