emily’s mighty crack of creation makes me
visible: where leonard’s light comes in-
version of darkness colliding into being:
fractalized afterimage of time in a moment—
evolutionary descent, a map of all life,
retinal veins, slime in a dish, dendrites,
synaptic contours: destiny of complexity
from deity viewpoint, imprint of becoming
searing a match into my imperfect macula
